BLOOM 2026: the Zukunftsforum in Mönchengladbach

In early July, Mönchengladbach hosted the BLOOM 2026 Zukunftsforum — two days on how cities, business and construction need to change. CABITREE was there, though differently than we first intended.

We had initially registered as an exhibitor with our own stand and a stage pitch. In June we deliberately cancelled the stand: product development — the sample board, the TreePass pilot — took priority, and a half-hearted trade fair appearance helps nobody. Instead, we contributed through the workshop on healthy indoor climate, to which WFMG, the business development agency of Mönchengladbach, had invited us, and spent the rest of the forum as visitors.

The workshop was a precise fit. It explored how materials and room design influence wellbeing indoors — with perspectives from research and practice. For our material Core Base 18, which is free of formaldehyde and isocyanates, this is exactly the home ground: material health is something you can prove, not just claim.

We took away new contacts in the building and health sectors, and the confirmation that healthy indoor spaces have arrived as a topic in the region.
