Ninety seconds before the jury: our first public appearance

Ninety seconds. That is how much time we had to explain to the jury of the Gründermesse, via Zoom, what CABITREE is meant to become: a way to accompany wood from its growth on the land to the finished piece, so that its origin and its history remain verifiable.

It was the first moment the idea left our own desk. No prototype, no customer list — just a concept, a few sentences and the question of whether it would convince anyone outside our own workshop.

The jury passed the pitch. That settled it: CABITREE would have a stand at the Gründermesse Mönchengladbach in November — our first trade fair appearance ever.

Looking back, that day was less a success than a beginning. Much of what we said then has evolved and sharpened since. What has stayed is the core: anyone who works with wood should be able to show where it comes from and what actually happens on the land — with evidence instead of assertions.

The next step was already waiting: a two-by-two-metre stand and the first conversations with real visitors.
